Creating a wine gift basket provides a great way of celebrating any occasion or making someone feel special. The hamper is simple to put together and can easily be customized to suit anyone. The whole project takes little effort and only a few minutes of time.
When it comes to showing someone how important they are, there is no better method than giving a homemade present. The gift is easy to create and is assembled in a matter of minutes. The final product will likely be incredible.
Preparing a Basket
Preparing a basket generally take only a few simple steps. Before starting the project it is important to gather all of the parts and ingredients that will go into it. Make a list before shopping to avoid forgetting any items.
The very first step is to decide on a theme or think about the occasion that warrants the gift. Customizing a basket for a birthday might be made more special if a cupcake is added or champagne instead of wine should be used for a wedding anniversary. Theme baskets should fully represent the chosen subject. Celebration of a football game should include hot wings or the ingredients for nachos. A movie night basket might have a couple movies and some popcorn.
Finding the supplies for the gift is quite easy. Simply go down to any craft supply store and purchase a large basket, some colored tissue paper, and a ribbon that matches the event. Pick colors that reflect the celebration without clashing with items in the hamper.
After finding all of the basic elements to the basket, it is time to choose some foods and wine. Most grocery stores have a gourmet foods section that has a variety of gourmet cheese and crackers. In addition, many stores have a fabulous wine section as well. Other food items that might be included are chocolates, packages of cookies, summer sausages or even some type of mustard.
Since not everyone enjoys wine, you could substitute another beverage and make, say, a gourmet coffee gift basket instead.
Construct the basket from the bottom up. First place the tissue paper or other packing materials in the bottom to create a base then add the wine bottle as a centerpiece. Place items around the container until everything looks just right. Tie a big bow on top of the basket or wrap it around the hamper and that is it. A simple gift is created with very little effort.
Creating a nice wine gift basket is not difficult at all. Pinpoint a theme and buy items that are appropriate to the person. Carefully place everything inside and top the entire thing off with a pretty ribbon. It takes very little effort to create an awesome gift.
