Rock T Shirts - The Pride Of Rock N Roll

Rock n' Roll along with rock t shirts is going to be around for many generations to come. Colorfully designed and highly popular rock T shirts are ruling the garments and shirts industry, primarily for the reason that people love Rock n’ Roll. A brief history of rock music, which revolutionized entire generations and inspired the culture and lifestyle of the last six decades, is given below. The term 'Rock-and-Roll' was picked up from the popular song, "My Baby Rocks Me with a Steady Roll", by a Cleveland jockey named Alan Freed in 1951. In the 1950s, Rock-and-Roll pertained to a kind of music that referred to having sex and having to do anything with sexual themes. The music was distinguished by its' strong rhythm, a hint of major music genres like the blues, jazz, and country, and the loud electric guitar. As the 1960s entered, Rock-and-Roll music in the United States became very distinct for its heavily accented beats, electronically amplified instrumentation, simple phrase structure, and youth-oriented lyrics. Rock music developed a strong foundation amongst its' world-wide fan following in this decade. Chuck Berry, who started the wild and crazy, jail-break kind of music, called Rock n' Roll, was instrumental in the achievements of this type of music in the following years. The dazzling popularity that rock music achieved in the 1960's did not, however, come without major setbacks and a perilous journey. The sudden demise of both Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens, the departure of Little Richard into preacher hood, the drafting of Elvis into the army and the prosecution of Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry were only some of the setbacks the music faced. Chuck Berry, who was considered the epitome of Rock n Roll music, ended up in jail for three years, having being accused of indulging in sex with a 14-year-old waitress. Such scandals almost marked the end of the Rock n’ Roll era until the British invasion. America's invasion by the British started with the broadcast of the Beatles hit song "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" by WWDC radio station on December 17, 1963. The invasion had begun. The United States was taken over by the Beatles in 1964, first by "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" becoming a number one hit on January 18 and second by their maiden performance on the Ed Sullivan show on February 9. "Beatlemania" was the new British invasion this time, as stated on CBS Evening News. Until 1970, when they finally disbanded, the Beatles enjoyed stellar prominence throughout the music world. Rock music achieved unsurpassed eminence in the 70s and produced both fame and wealth for its proponents. While rock stars became darlings of the masses, rock concerts were sold out weeks in advance. The undulating wave of popularity in the 70s made the way for rock bands and stars to begin selling rock T shirts, concert T Shirts and a host of other merchandise. The popularity of rock music was further distinguished by such evolutionary forms as blues, jazz-rock fusion, psychedelic, progressive, glam, and heavy metal, which to this day are the loudest and craziest forms of music. The latter half of the 70's witnessed the entry of punk rock onto the music scene which also became a vent for political and social expression. New Wave, post-punk, and alternative rock, which ultimately led to the advent of indie rock, Brit pop and rock metal, were all forms of music derived from punk rock and its' memorabilia in the 80's. The 1980s and 1990s gave rise to iconic cultural figures that are highly recognizable today. Prominent amongst those that achieved this status are Kiss, Madonna, U2, Prince, Jon Bon Jovi, and Metallica, to name a few. These talented musicians helped to shape American music and the musical world as we now know it. Rock n Roll has a cult status today, its' followers including a huge percentage of the world's music lovers. Its' huge foot print can be seen in the movie industry, the sports industry, as well as the fashion industry. Rock T Shirts are an unostentatious souvenir of this great musical revolution.
