how do I get rid of the plaque on my dogs teeth?
My dog Mika has some plaque build up on her teeth and even though I brush them weekly and give her special dog treats to cut down on plaque she still has some yellow near her gums. Any suggestions on what else i could do to help her would be appreciated.
Answer:
I give my Dobermanns large fresh beef marrow bones daily, which keeps their teeth pearly white & they absolutely love them.
You could ask your vet to clean your dogs teeth, but as this is done under anaesthesia & the tartar build up is fairly minimal, I would suggrest trying raw bones, which should be effective if given regularly.
