Frequently Asked Questions...
What animal bites the head of a small rabbit?
I walked outside in the morning and saw a young/small rabbit with no head. I live on land close to town/city/suburbs, so I'm not completely in the wilderness or country. I have noticed at night Fox's but I'm not sure its completely them.
Regarding the young rabbit, I have dug a hole and buried it.
thanks.
Answer:
It would most likely be a cat, either a stray/wild one or one that has been let to roam. Cats love to prey on rabbits and will often kill them just for the game of it, so will typically ditch the carcass once they've had a nibble. It could also have been a dog, but usually dogs and foxes will make a meal out of a rabbit.
